DURING MY ANNUAL PHYSICAL MY DOCTOR HAS REQUESTED A LUNG SCAN FOR ME SINCE I HAVE BEEN A SMOKER FOR OVER 40 YEARS. MY MVP PLAN, PREFERRED CARE GOLD, HAS TURNED DOWN THE REQUEST OF MY DOCTOR AS "IT IS NOT NEEDED".........I CONTACTED MVP AND ASKED WHEN THIS TYPE OF TEST WAS NEEDED AND THEY COULD NOT, OR WOULD NOT, LIST ANY.
THERE IS NO ARBITRATION PROCESS WITH THEM. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP JUST KEPT REPEATING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AS A REPLY TO MY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE SCA. SHE SOUNDED LIKE A PARROT.
I ALSO REQUESTED TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE OF HIGHER AUTHORITY AND WAS STONE WALLED ON THIS REQUEST AS WELL. I WILL BE SHOPPING FOR A NEW PLAN NEXT YEAR
